After two days of inactivity, the Boston College Eagles found themselves busy on Day Three of the 2014 NFL Draft. With four draft choices and a number of undrafted free agent signings, it seems BC is finally starting to right the ship and get back to churning out pro level talent capable of competing at a high level.
All that's left is to weigh in on the Eagles matriculating to the NFL, their chances of becoming impact players, and who or where they'll find themselves landing. So join us on Tuesday at 8 PM EST as AJ Black and Dan Rubin discuss the Eagles heading to the pros and their lasting impact on BC.
The biggest name is obviously Heisman Trophy finalist Andre Williams. The 113th pick overall, Williams was chosen in the fourth round by the New York Giants, continuing a trend of Eagles heading to Big Blue. We'll be joined by Mike Fiammetta of Big Blue View to discuss Williams and his chances of making a splash with the Giants. Listen in as Mike talks with our guys about the Giant offense, its shortcomings of last season, and how Williams fits what New York is trying to do as they attempt to get back into the playoffs.
Sean Yuille also joins us from Pride of Detroit to talk the Detroit Lions and Nate Freese. One of the more underrated draft picks, Freese emerged early on as a candidate to stabilize the kicking game for the Lions. We'll talk with Sean about how Freese can bring his consistency at BC and contribute to Detroit and what he can expect kicking in the NFC North.
We'll also take your calls at 646-200-0446 to talk about some of the guys who were taken higher than they should've been, lower than we thought they would, or were snubbed altogether. We'll also talk about the future; now that this group of guys are gone, it's time to move on and wonder about who could step forward and make waves in next year's draft and who has that potential to lead BC back to the highly-touted platform it once stood on.
It's going to be a monster, packed show with analysts, guests, and your calls. So tune in and catch this special, hour-plus long show to talk BC FOOTBALL!
