The World Junior Hockey Championship is into the knockout stages and BC's Colin White continues to be one of the top players for the United States. The Americans are looking to medal for the first time since 2013, when they won gold. With a win over the Czech Republic tomorrow in the quarterfinals, the US will at least have an opportunity to play for either the gold or the bronze—but the Americans lost at this stage in each of the past two tournaments.
The other fascinating quarterfinal is Canada vs. Finland. The Finns are the hosts and have expectations of a medal this year. Canada disappointed in the group stage but now has a chance at a clean slate.
