Boston College men’s basketball announced today (in Quinten Post’s native language of Dutch) that the star center would be available for the Eagles’ second round ACC tournament match-up against UNC.

After missing yesterday’s contest against Louisville in the ACC tournament, Boston College center Quinten Post remains questionable to return from the sprained ankle he suffered last week against Georgia Tech. BC will need Post, who has been their best player this season, to stand much of a chance against UNC tonight.

Earl Grant said on Monday morning that Quinten Post suffered a sprained ankle versus Georgia Tech last week and his injury is day-to-day. The team hopes he can return for the ACC tournament, which starts Tuesday against Louisville.

#3 Boston College Women’s Lacrosse Wins Season Opener Over #18 USC, 14-3

Boston College women’s lacrosse opened their season today against the #18 USC Trojans and won a wire-to-wire contest with ease, finishing with a 14-3 win. Jenn Medjid led the way with 5 goals and McKenna Davis had an impressive 2 goals and 5 assists. Goalie Rachel Hall starts off on the right foot too, allowing just 3 goals in 3 quarters of play before being subbed out in the 4th.

Boston College Basketball Teams Start Practice in the Brand New Hoag Pavilion

Boston College Athletics took a huge step forward in improving the men's and women's basketball programs by securing funding for a new Hoag Basketball Pavilion. Teams have now begun practicing in the new facilities and the remainder of the construction (locker rooms, strength & conditioning, tech, etc.) are set to be completed soon.

Boston College Women's Basketball Ends Losing Streak, Defeats Pitt

The Boston College women's basketball team ended a 5 game losing streak today, defeating Pitt by a score of 74-60. The Eagles shot 52.6% from the floor in today's win, and were led by Ally VanTimmeren who had a standout game with 17 points. Andrea Daley also had a stellar game for BC, recording a double-double with 10 points and a team leading 12 rebounds.

Boston College Women's Basketball Blows Lead, Falls to Miami

The Eagles' struggles continued tonight, as they lost their 5th straight game tonight. BC fell to Miami by a score of 86-65, despite leading 41-37 at halftime. The Eagles had a decent offensive game, including 7 baskets from behind the arc, but made an unacceptable 27 turnovers, leading to 24 Miami points. Without Dontavia Waggoner, BC also struggled on defense - Miami had 5 blocks to BC's 1 and 22 steals to BC's 4.

Boston College Volleyball Secures NIVC Championship Bid

Boston College defeated Southern Miss on Saturday evening to head to the NIVC Championship. It's their first postseason championship appearance in program history.
