The Comm Ave Classic isn't the only BC Hockey charity game going on this month! If you're in Connecticut on July 15, head over to Terry Conners Rink in Stamford at 7 PM, where BC Hockey alum Ryan Shannon will be hosting Big Assist VII. Shannon began hosting Big Assist in 2009, and it has become one of the biggest summer hockey events in Connecticut. The game raises money to benefit the Obie Harrington-Howes Foundation, an organization that helps individuals with spinal cord injuries in Connecticut. The foundation is named after Obie Harrington-Howes, who was Ryan Shannon's first hockey coach, and Big Assist has raised over $150,000 for the OHHF.

Players at the event will include BC alumni Nathan Gerbe, Ryan Shannon, Cam Atkinson, Chris Kreider, and Nick Petrecki, as well as many non-BC NHL players. During the game there will also be a silent auction where you can bid on items like a Rangers jersey signed by Mark Messier, a Red Wings jersey signed by Jimmy Howard, and hats signed by participating players.

Tickets can be purchased here.
