Brooks Orpik registered 4 hits in Washington's loss to San Jose.

Johnny Gaudreau picked up an assist in Calgary's loss to St. Louis.

Philip Samuelsson picked up an assist for Portland while Joe Whitney registered an assist for Bridgeport in the Sound Tigers' win over the Pirates.

October 14:

Cam Atkinson picked up an assist for the Blue Jackets, but his team lost to Ottawa 7-3.

Tommy Cross played his first NHL game for the Bruins, while his BC roommate Jimmy Hayes scored 1 goal and notched 3 assists, for a 4 point game.

Brian Gibbons scored a goal in Hartford's win over Providence.

October 15:

As usual, Brooks Orpik recorded 4 hits in Washington's victory over Chicago.

Brian Boyle picked up an assist in Tampa's loss for his 3rd point of the week. Boyle has had a great season so far and could be a big impact player for Tampa.

Gionta returned to the lineup for the Sabres, contributing a couple hits and some face-off wins.

October 16:

Cory Schneider made 33 saves in regulation, but his Devils lost to the Sharks in the shootout.

Cam Atkinson picked up an assist in Columbus's loss to Toronto.

AHL

John Muse made 23 saves to help Texas beat Chicago. Peter Harrold scored a goal for Chicago in their loss.

Patrick Brown scored 2 goals for Charlotte against Milwaukee, including the game winner.

ECHL

Barry Almeida registered 10 shots and scored 1 goal to help Utah defeat Colorado.

Parker Milner made 26 saves in Missouri's loss to Alaska.

October 17:

NHL

Rob Scuderi picked up an assist on Pittsburgh's winning goal against Toronto.

Brooks Orpik registered 5 hits as Washington beat Carolina.

Tommy Cross picked up his first NHL point with an assist in his second NHL game, a win for Boston against Arizona.

AHL

Joe Whitney picked up a goal and an assist in Bridgeport's win over Providence.

Brian Gibbons grabbed an assist in Hartford's win over Utica.

Peter Harrold picked up an assist on the first goal in Chicago's 9-5 win over Charlotte.

ECHL

Barry Almeida was responsible for 4 of Utah's 5 goals in their victory over Colorado. Almeida recorded the first goal, the game winning goal, and the last goal, as well as one other for good measure. Almeida had two multi-goal games in the pre-season, and is looking like he might get an AHL call up at some point this season.

October 18:

Stephen Gionta registered 3 hits and Cory Schneider made 26 saves in NJ's loss to the Rangers. Chris Krieder recorded 4 hits in the game.

AHL

Paul Carey picked up a goal for Hershey in their loss to Portland. Mike Matheson assisted on Portland's 4th goal.

Joe Whitney notched an assist on Bridgeport's lone goal in their loss to the Penguins.

Brian Gibbons grabbed a goal and an assist to help Hartford defeat Syracuse.
