John Muse, who recently helped the BC alumni team win the 2nd Annual Comm Ave Classic, has signed with the Rochester Amerks. Muse, who won two NCAA Championships with BC, signed a one-year AHL contract with Rochester.

Since graduating from BC in 2011, Muse has played in the ECHL and the AHL. Muse played one game for the Portland Pirates after graduating, and then spent 3 seasons splitting time between the Charlotte Checkers and their AHL affiliates.

Muse played his first full AHL season in 2014-15. He played on 29 games for the Checkers and recorded a .916 save percentage. Muse started last season with the Texas Stars in the AHL before being traded back to the Checkers. In his time with Charlotte last season, Muse played in 18 games and had a .918 save percentage.

As of right now, Muse will be the only Eagle on the Amerks. However, if he sticks with Rochester he might get to play with another BC alum - Rochester is affiliated with the Buffalo Sabres, who drafted Casey Fitzgerald this year.

Muse will likely compete for starting time with Linus Ullmark, who was Rochester's starting goaltender last season.
