The Boston College Eagles are on the road, heading off to West Point to face off with Army on Saturday. The first edition of the weekly depth chart was released last night, so let's take a look.
Quarterback:
- Chase Rettig - JR
- Josh Bordner - SO
Rettig's injury during last week's game wasn't enough to remove him from the depth chart. Phew.
Halfback:
- Andre Williams - JR
- David Dudeck - FR
No change here. Andre Williams had a touchdown run last game, and did a good job as a pass blocker, picking up blitzers very well. Dudeck did well on the swing passes last week, but struggled to find the first down marker. That could just be freshman jitters. Tajh Kimble is still battling a nagging injury, while Rolandan Finch is still in Spaz's dog house.
Wide Receivers:
- Johnathan Coleman - JR
- Dan Crimmins - FR
- Spiffy Evans - SO OR Bobby Swigert - SR
Only a few small minor changes on the depth chart. Donte Elliott replaces Harrison Jackson, neither has been much of a factor this season. Swigert continues to move back up, as he could be battling Spiffy for the third wide receiver spot on the team.
Tight End:
- C.J. Parsons - SO OR Brian Miller - FR
Tight Ends haven't played much of a role this year, Parsons struggles to shake defenders, and Miller hasn't been healthy enough to be a factor this year. I would like to see Brian Miller get a chance here, he seems to have better hands.
Offensive Line
Left Tackle:
- Emmett Cleary - SR
- Dan Lembke - R-FR
Left Guard:
- Bobby Vardaro - SO
- Victor Nelson - R-FR
- Andy Gallik - SO
- Paul Gaughan - R-FR
Right Guard:
- Ian White - JR
- Seth Betancourt - SO
Right Tackle:
- John Wetzel - SR
- Aaron Kramer - SO
No changes on the offensive line this week. Kind of surprised a little since they looked confused and out of place numerous times last week against Clemson.
Fullback
- Jake Sinkovec - JR
- Jarrett Darmstatter - SO
Same as last week. Sinkovec is easily the best run blocker on this team, and deserves to be out there.
Defensive Ends:
- Mehdi Abdesmad - SO
- Kieran Borcich - FR
- Brian Mihalik - SO
- Connor Wujciak - R-FR
Kasim Edebali is still out with an apparent arm injury, other wise things are still the same on the defensive line.
Left Tackle
- Dominic Appiah - SO
- Max Ricci - JR
Right Tackle
- Jaryd Rudolph - JR
- Dillon Quinn - SR
Kaleb Ramsey still can't shake the injury bug that has haunted him for the past two years. One of these guys has to produce, they haven't been able to do much of anything this year.
SLB:
- Steele Divitto - JR
- Tim Joy - FR
MLB:
- Nick Clancy - SR
- Sean Duggan - SO OR Nick Lifka - FR
WLB:
- Kevin Pierre-Louis - JR OR Sean Duggan SO
- Steven Daniels - FR
KPL got banged up last week, and it is still apparently lingering as he seems to be questionable this week. Sean Duggan would be a fine fill in. Otherwise nothing has changed.
Field Corner:
- Manuel Asprilla - SO
- Bryce Jones - FR
Back Corner:
- Sean Sylvia - SO
- Ameer Richardson - FR
Don't know if I missed him getting hurt at the Clemson game, but C.J. Jones isn't listed this week after starting the previous two games. Sean Sylvia will be slotted down from Free Safety to get the start at Back Corner. Asprilla will start again at FC.
Strong Safety:
- Jim Noel - SR
- Spenser Rositano - SO
Free Safety:
- Spenser Rositano - SO
- Justin Simmons - FR
Rositano takes over at FS for Sean Sylvia, and will be the back up to Noel as well. The depth chart all of a sudden is getting thin.
Punt Returner:
- Spiffy Evans - FR
- Bobby Swigert - JR
Please don't get Swigert reinjured on special teams. Please.
Kick Returner:
- Spiffy Evans - SO
- James McCaffrey - SO
Nothing new here.
Kicker:
- Nate Freese - JR
- Alex Howell - R-FR
Punter:
- Gerald Levano - SR
- Alex Howell - R-FR
Snapper
- Sean Flaherty - SR
- Dave Shinskie - SR
Holder
- Gerald Levano - SR
- Josh Bordner - SO
