Boston College GIF of the Year: Octofinals, Matchup #8

The GIF of gab

Believe it or not, we had a bit of a snafu in yesterday’s GIF matchup. Originally, we had inadvertently included a GIF that was from 2015. Oops. Hey, we’re not perfect.

We did manage to swap out one Daz GIF for another shortly after the post dropped, so everything worked out okay. It didn’t however, work out that well for Incredulous Daz, as that GIF took the loss to Brown With Authority by a 63-37 tally.

And so, that brings us to our final GIF matchup of the first round! We’re already two weeks deep into the GIF of the Year tournament — that’s halfway. Crazy.

Without further ado, let’s meet the final two entries into this season’s bracket.

Kent The Highlight Reel

BCI commentator ejb63 nominated “Any GIF of Kenzie Kent” in our nominations thread. Well ejb, we did you one better. Here we have a super cut of all five (5!) of Kenzie Kent’s goals from the NCAA championship game against Maryland. She added 5 assists on the day to finish with 10 points, earning her the Most Outstanding Player award despite her team not coming away with the championship. Impressive.

Almeida The Wizard

Barry Almeida ‘12 played for the EIHL’s Coventry Blaze this year, and he put together one hell of an individual effort for this sensational goal. The goal doesn’t appear to be anywhere on the internet other than the Coventry Blaze’s twitter, so shout out to them for sharing it with the rest of the world.

Let’s take one last look at the bracket as we wrap up the first round:

You have 24 hours to vote, ending on Friday at 9am. We’ll be back with the quarterfinals on Monday!
