WIH: Three Eagles Named To Hockey Canada Development Camp

Players will vie for a spot on the development roster

John Quackenbos, BC Athletics

Three Canadian players on the Boston College Women’s Hockey Team were selected to attend Hockey Canada’s development camp and will look to make the developmental roster for the year’s upcoming international competitions.

The three Eagles — Maegan Beres, Minnesota transfer Lindsay Agnew, and reigning Patty Kazmaier Award winner Daryl Watts — were among the 41 selected for developmental camp and will look to be named to the Canadian roster for the Nations Cup tournament this fall.

Beres, Agnew, and Watts were all decorated members of Canada’s Under-18 program. Agnew attended development camp last season and was named to last year’s Nations Cup roster as well. Watts, as became painfully apparent to the powers that be north of the border as the season went on, was one of the biggest snubs in the history of Canadian hockey least season.

Congratulations to all three Eagles as they look to represent their country in the upcoming season!
