All I have to GIF

Pencils down! The first vote in the 2017 BC Interruption GIF of the Year Tournament is in, and we have our first GIF in the quarterfinals. Patrick Towles’ touchdown reception in the Quick Lane Bowl easily took down Joe Woll’s facewashing of a Vermont Catamount by a 70-30 margin to advance into the Elite 8.

Let’s keep things moving! Here is the second Octofinals matchup of the tournament.

Hart Behind The Back

BC lacrosse’s Kaileen Hart scored this sensational behind-the-back goal against Yale. The goal was #6 on SportsCenter’s Top 10 that night.

With lacrosse being BC’s most successful team of the 2016-2017 academic year, it would have been a crime not to see a lacrosse entry in the GIF tournament. This one just might be good enough to win it.

Burt’s Robbery

Katie Burt of BC Women’s Hockey made a game-saving stop on a clean Northeastern breakaway in the Hockey East championship game. The save kept the score tied at 1 with just minutes remaining in regulation. The Eagles would go on to win the Hockey East championship in overtime.

We’ve got our first matchup in the books, so it’s time to check in on the bracket:

We’ll unveil more matchups as we go further along in the tournament.
