In a season full of ups and downs, the Boston College Eagles were able to end the 2017 regular season slate on a positive note, defeating the No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 16-10 on Senior Day in Newton.

It was a tale of two halves, as the Irish started the game up 5-2, before the Eagles went on a 3-2 scoring run to go into halftime down 7-5.

The second half, however, belonged to the Eagles. BC put up eleven second half goals, including seven straight goals at one point during the half. The Irish, meanwhile, were held scoreless for 20 minutes of the half as BC took control of the game.

Junior Kenzie Kent led the way for the Eagles on Senior Day, netting five goals and two assists in the effort.

BC will be seeded fifth in the ACC Tournament, and will play a familiar foe Thursday afternoon, the Fighting Irish in Richmond, Va.
