BC and UConn are about to take to the ice and open up championship weekend on the campus of Merrimack College.

Gavel Media

BC has been looking forward to this all season long. The undefeated and top ranked Eagles begin the business portion of their season with the Hockey East semifinal against UConn. A win will advance BC to the championship game to face the winner of BU or Northeastern, as the Eagles seek out their first Hockey East tournament title since 2011.

Today's game features a matchup of the two top goalies in Hockey East. Katie Burt's save percentage is .944 while UConn's Elaine Chuli's clocks in at .943. Chuli has had a number of remarkable performances against BC in her Huskies career and will look to do the same again as UConn seeks the upset.

BC went 3-0 in a trio of regular season matchups against UConn this season, winning 4-0, 4-0, and 5-4. The final game was one of the few close league contests for BC this season.
