What If? The 2015 NCAA Women's Hockey Tournament Pairwise Predictor

Plug in the conference tournament results and see the resulting Pairwise Rankings

BC Athletics

For years, USCHO has provided a fantastic tool allowing you to plug in theoretical results of the men's hockey conference semifinals and finals and see its results on the Pairwise. But a similar tool was never available for women's hockey.

Until now, that is. Here at BC Interruption we've put together an Excel-based spreadsheet, accessible online without any download necessary, where you can do the same thing.

It's pretty self-explanatory. Use the drop-down menu to select who you think will win each game. Once all games are selected, the box at the top right will update to show the resulting Pairwise Rankings, including the 4 autobids and 4 at-large bids. The first two teams out are provided as well, to see how close they were to making the field.

Remember, a team can be ranked higher than another despite having a lower RPI. For a detailed explanation of how the Pairwise is calculated, click here.

Note: This is based on a pretty big file. The sheet will take a few seconds to load. Also, it can sometimes take a couple seconds for the semifinal picks to carry over into the finals picks. Be patient; it will load.
