Despite the snow emergency in Boston and the postponement of last night's men's Beanpot championship, the women's Beanpot final is on. Undefeated, #1-ranked Boston College takes on #4 Harvard at the Crimson's home rink tonight with hopes of retaining the Beanpot title.
Boston College Eagles 27-0-1 overall, 1st in PWR
vs. Harvard Crimson 18-4-2 overall, 4th in PWR
Game Date: Tuesday, February 10, 2015
Start Time: 7:30 PM
Venue: Bright Hockey Center (cap. 2,850)
Ticket, arena, and dining info:
Tickets to the women's Beanpot final are available through Harvard's website and cost $10 for adults, $5 for children. They will also be available at the door. Gates open at 3:30 PM, one hour prior to the BU vs. NU consolation game.
Harvard's Bright Hockey Center is located on its athletic campus in Allston, near Harvard Stadium. Be advised that the T is shut down today, so if you wish to attend you're going to need to find a way to drive there. If you're a BC student, there is a student bus to the game. The MBTA's 86 bus is also running a limited schedule today. It runs from Cleveland Circle to Harvard Square.
The athletic campus is about a 20-25 minute walk from Harvard Yard and the red line station, so it's possible to eat/drink in the area then walk to the rink, though you probably don't want to do that in these conditions. If you do choose to brave the elements, you can't go wrong with Charlie's Kitchen in Harvard Square.
