Women's Hockey Places A Staggering *Nine* Players On National U22 Teams

NINE (9)

Doug Pensinger

The hype is growing.

Eleven current, former, and future Eagles attended their respective countries' development camps over the last couple weeks, and when it was time to name the U22 rosters for Team USA and Team Canada, Boston College Eagles heard their names called a staggering nine times.

For those keeping score at home, that is every single age-eligible Eagle who attended camp. BC graduates Corinne Boyles and Blake Bolden, though they attended Team USA development camp, were ineligible for the U22 team.

All nine players will be playing at the Heights this season.

Team Canada:
SO Kristyn Capizzano -- F

Team USA:
SO Andie Anastos -- F
JR Lexi Bender -- D
RS JR Alex Carpenter -- F
SR Emily Field -- F
FR Megan Keller -- D
SR Emily Pfalzer -- D
JR Haley Skarupa -- F
JR Dana Trivigno -- F

Yep. More than a third of Team USA is made up of players taking their talents to the Heights.

For reference, that's 9 of the 22 players on BC's 2014-2015 roster. No other college team in the country has more than 4 (you guessed it -- Minnesota).

The pieces are there for a deep NCAA tournament run. On paper, this is the best compilation of talent Coach Crowley has assembled. But games aren't played on paper.
