Boston College Vs. Howard 2015: The Band Is NOT Coming

If there's one positive to having Howard on the schedule this year, it's that there was a possibility of having the "Showtime" Marching Band make an appearance at Alumni Stadium.

If you've never watched the marching band in action, it's one of the most amazing things in entertainment, let alone college sports. The precision dancing, rhythmic drum line, and well orchestrated notes are probably one of the more amazing things to take a peek at. When I was down in Washington, DC, I've had a chance to see them in action, and it was one of the highlights of my trip.

If you take a look at Youtube, there's a 15 minute "Homecoming Tunnel" that is just pure awesome.

Unfortunately, though, it doesn't look like we'll get to see the Howard marching band at BC as they will not be making the trip north.

This is a huge bummer, and that's not meant as a knock against the football team or the Screaming Eagles marching band. The Howard band is just one of the best in the world, one of the bands featured on the Battle of the Bands.

I don't know about you guys, but this just put a damper on my Sunday morning.
