Freshman Miranda Thompson wins the Colonial Relays 3000m! Without hesitation she took the lead after one mile and didn’t look back, crushing her PR to run 9:52!

Boston College freshman Miranda Thompson broke her personal record and earn a 1st place finish in the 3,000m run at the 53rd Berkeley Realty Property Management Colonial Relays today. Thompson ran the event in 9:52.73 after taking an early lead.

Winslow set a BC record (and personal best), running the 3k steeplechase in 9:48.81. She will compete in the Olympic Trials in early July, with hopes to represent BC and the USA in the Rio Olympics.

Boston College assistant track and cross-country coach Tim Ritche won the Philadelphia Half Marathon and is now primed to compete for a spot in the 2016 Olympics as a member of the United States national team.

Meet takes place Thursday through Saturday in Jacksonville, FL
