Postseason play returns to the Newton Campus soccer facility tonight when the Boston College Eagles take on Virginia Tech in the ACC tournament’s opening round. BC and VT earned the #8 and #9 seeds in the ACC, and are squaring off to determine who travels to #1 North Carolina on Sunday.
Both teams bounced back in their regular season finales after struggling down the stretch, and are looking to polish up their NCAA tournament resumes. BC is 7-7-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the ACC, while Virginia Tech is 10-4-3 and 3-4-1 in ACC play.
The Eagles are looking to improve on a solid home record this season; BC went 2-0-2 against ACC foes in Newton this fall, and 5-3-2 overall.
Two players who were key contributors in last year’s run to the Elite Eight have been huge for BC recently: Zeiko Lewis, who broke BC’s career assist record, and Trevor Davock, who potted a hat trick against NC State.
No stream is available but live stats can be tracked here and tickets for tonight are $5.
