Boston College Soccer Defeats Dartmouth 1-0 On Kyle Bekker Golden Goal

Senior Kyle Bekker scored his first goal of the season in the 95th minute to lead the Boston College men's soccer team past Dartmouth in overtime, 1-0, on Wednesday night at the Newton Campus Field.

Since we last caught up with the other Boston College football team, the Eagles had bounced Rhode Island 4-2. Since then, BC has gone on a four game unbeaten streak, defeating N.C. State 2-1, Wake Forest 1-0 and tying playing to a 1-1 draw with Harvard. The Eagles continued their winning ways on Wednesday night, notching a 1-0 victory over visiting Dartmouth on a Kyle Bekker golden goal.

Following a Dartmouth foul on the right side of the pitch, freshman Jason Abbott set up for a free kick. He sent a cross into the near side of the box. Bekker jumped and got a head on it, redirecting it to the back post for the game-winner.
