A beleaguered basketball team that has been desperate for good news has instead been dealt even more bad news heading into the biggest stretch of games of the season.
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported Monday morning that freshman guard Wynston Tabbs will be sidelined for the ACC Tournament with a knee injury.
Boston College's Wynston Tabbs (knee) will not be available for the ACC Tournament, per Jim Christian. Was averaging 13.9 PPG and 3.9 RPG prior to injury.

I’m not going to restate anything that Katie already said in her column this morning (which you all should read right now), but this is really bad news for the Eagles. Tabbs was one of the Eagles’ most reliable scorers when he was sidelined, and the Eagles have not been able to recover since then. Coming up on Jim Christian’s most important stretch of games during his tenure at BC where he will possibly be coaching for his job, he will need any breaks he can get. Instead, it appears he was just dealt a huge blow. Let’s see how things pan out.
