The Basketball Tournament: Team Challenge ALS Shocks A Few Good Men 77-60, Advances to Regional Championship

Somehow, defying the odds, Team Challenge ALS will be competing for a chance to go to The Basketball Tournament semifinals in Baltimore.

That opportunity is afford to Team Challenge ALS off a stunning 77-60 upset of No. A Few Good Men in the Super 16 round of The Basketball Tournament.

The win was powered by a 16-3 run during the second half.

Louisville alumnus, and former New Jersey Net Jerry Smith led the way for Team Challenge ALS with 23 points. He was 8-for-10 from the field, and 4-for-5 from three-point range.

BC alumnus, and team GM Sean Marshall did not play in the game.

The team, playing for BC alumnus Pete Frates to raise awareness and funding for ALS research, is now one win away from reaching the semifinal round in Baltimore. Team Challenge ALS will play No. 4 Armored Athlete Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn. The game will be televised on ESPN 2.
