This year's #OrangeEagle competition got a bit like an out-of-hand youth hockey game. We stopped keeping score after awhile and changed to a running clock. It didn't help. The bludgeonings continue. Please make it stop!
Thus ends the season for the 2016 Boston College women's lacrosse team after Syracuse downed the Eagles 16-11 in the ACC quarterfinals. Syracuse moves on to the semifinal where they will face Notre Dame.
BC finishes the season 10-8 on the year and 2-6 in ACC play, certainly the toughest season they've experienced in recent years. Hopefully they can bounce back next year and get back in to NCAA tournament contention.
Six seniors depart the program after this season and in many ways they've been one of the most successful classes in program history: Emily Zlevor, Sarah Mannelly, Kara Magley, Kate Rich, Molly Erdle and Caroline Margolis. Best of luck to them in their future endeavors!
