Boston College Women's Lacrosse: Eagles Earn Highest Ranking In Program History

All aboard the BC women's lacrosse bandwagon, y'all.

The Boston College Eagles women's lacrosse team moved up to the #3 spot in the IWLCA Coaches' Poll on Monday after pulling out a 10-9 victory over Syracuse this weekend. The Eagles jump four spots from 7 to 3 after receiving 336 total votes in this week's rankings.

The number three national ranking is the highest ever for the program. BC notched its first ever victory over the Orange, snapping a 13-game losing streak to Syracuse.

The Eagles (4-0) are back in action this afternoon in Worcester as they take on the Holy Cross Crusaders. After that, BC will continue to run the difficult ACC gauntlet with the home opener vs. 16th ranked Notre Dame. Seven of the ACC's eight women's lacrosse programs are ranked in the top 20 this week, with five (!) in the top 10: #2 North Carolina, #3 Boston College, #5 Duke, #6 Syracuse and #8 Virginia.
