To give you a sense of just how stacked ACC women's lacrosse is this year, the sixth-ranked Boston College lacrosse team will be the sixth seed in this week's ACC Lacrosse Championship. The host Eagles will take on third-seed North Carolina -- the nation's top-ranked team -- on Thursday, April 25 at 5 p.m. inside Alumni Stadium.
Earlier this season, Boston College (12-4, 3-4 ACC) dropped a heartbreaker to North Carolina (12-3, 5-2 ACC); losing by one goal in the regular-season matchup between the two teams.
Maryland (16-1, 6-1 ACC) is this year's top seed in the tournament. The Terps will face eighth-seed Virginia Tech (7-9, 0-7 ACC) in the first game of the tournament on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Boston College is hosting the tournament for the second time in program history. The games will be played at Alumni Stadium.
