Boston College hockey versus Vermont was the only Hockey East quarterfinal to go to a decisive third game, and as such, the hockey world (or region, anyway) had to wait an extra ten minutes to see what the Hockey East semifinals matchups would be.
But Ryan Fitzgerald's overtime goal kept BC's playoff hopes alive, and behold, we have a semifinals bracket.
Boston College, as the #1 seed in the Hockey East tournament, will face the lowest remaining seed, #6 seed Northeastern. The other two teams, #2 Providence and #4 UMass-Lowell, will play in the other matchup, with the winner advancing to the Hockey East championship game on Saturday.

Interestingly, but unsurprisingly, NESN intervened with the game times. Rather than getting the extra rest that comes from playing the early game, Boston College will play the late game at 8pm on Friday night. UMass-Lowell vs. Providence will play at 5pm.
The games will be televised on NESN in New England, and on NBC Sports nationally.
