The men’s hockey season begins tonight when the Boston College Eagles take on Air Force. This is the opening game of the 2016 IceBreaker Invitational; Denver plays Ohio State in the nightcap. Tomorrow, the two winners and the two losers will square off to end the weekend and crown an IceBreaker champ. BC won the IceBreaker in 2011 in North Dakota - the first trophy in a season that end with a national title.
Few are expecting a national title run from BC this year, given their well-documented youth and inexperience. But there are players with some real potential on this roster, and we begin to learn a little bit more about how real that potential is this weekend.
The puck drops at 6:30 PM. Go Eagles!
