OK, so there’s something on the BC athletics calendar somewhat overshadowing tonight’s hockey season opener, but nonetheless... this is an exciting day. The Eagles, coming off a tumultuous offseason, finally get to put their 13 freshmen to the test against a very good Air Force team in the opening game of the IceBreaker.

In the nightcap, Denver takes on Ohio State. On Saturday, winner plays winner and loser plays loser. Let’s go.

GAME DETAILS

Teams: Boston College Eagles (0-0-0) vs. Air Force Academy Falcons (0-0-0)

Date: Friday, October 7, 2016

Time: 6:30 PM ET (4:30 PM MT)

Venue: Magness Ice Arena, Denver, Colorado

Attending: Ticket information available here via StubHub

How to Watch: As of right now, Denver is choosing to only stream DU’s games live via their NCHC.TV platform, leaving BC/Air Force fans out in the cold. We are aggressively lobbying to change this situation and will let you know if it changes. They have the cameras there, so not streaming the opener is pretty mind-boggling.

How to Listen: There will be a web-only radio broadcast on BCEagles.com, featuring play by play announcer Jon Rish and color commentator Tom Grace.

The mothership @BCInterruption account will obviously be football-focused tonight but @Salzano14 will be providing hockey updates.
