Only 26 days until the Eagles begin the quest to take home another National Championship in Tampa! In honor of this, get to know the Eagles' lone Floridian, Austin Cangelosi.

#26, Austin Cangelosi, Forward

Class Year: Junior
Height: 5'7''
Weight: 173
Hometown: Estero, FL

Before BC:

Played for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL).

Fun facts:

- Cangelosi's brother plays hockey and tennis at Connecticut College.
- He assisted on Patrick Brown's Beanpot-winning goal as a freshman.
- Cangelosi attended Islanders Mini-Camp in 2014 and 2015.

2014-2015 in review:

Austin Cangelosi had his second 20 point season as a sophomore, recording 6 goals and 14 assists. He played in 37 games, and had 5 multi-point games. He scored his second career game winning goal against Merrimack on February 2nd, and registered a career high 4 shots against Harvard in the Beanpot consolation game.

2015-2016 outlook:

Cangelosi is a classic short and fast BC hockey player, and while he might not have the offensive output of a Johnny Gaudreau or Nathan Gerbe, he is capable of putting points on the board. Cangelosi should put up some solid offensive numbers for the Eagles this season, especially if he can increase his shots on goal.
