While Boston College still has not officially released its 2015-2016 men's hockey schedule, every other school in Hockey East has, as have BC's out of conference opponents, meaning we are able to put the entire schedule for the coming season together. This season promises to be an exciting one on the Heights, as Jerry York sits 16 wins away from 1,000 career victories. In addition, BC's reloaded offense will seek to drive the team back to the Frozen Four.
The Eagles will open their season on Friday, October 9 in West Point against Army, part of a two-game non-conference New York State swing to start the year; they follow up the Army game with a matchup against RPI on October 11. BC returns home the next Friday for their home opener against Wisconsin.
Other schedule highlights include hosting Denver at Conte Forum on October 30. Denver eliminated BC from the NCAA tournament last season, returning the favor after BC knocked out the Pioneers in 2014. BC also hosts a rare visit from Michigan State on November 13, bringing another Big 10 team to campus. The Eagles will participate in the Florida College Hockey Classic during the holiday break, facing Ohio State in the opener, followed by either Cornell or Providence. And of course all eyes will be on Comm. Ave for the home-and-home between BC and BU on January 15 and 16.
