Okay, sorry for the trolltastic clickbait headline. You know it was funny.
Yale/Quinnipiac beat writer for the New Haven Register and longtime friend of the blog Chip Malafronte broke the news via Twitter on Tuesday that Quinnipiac will be playing Boston College in hockey each of the next three seasons.
Quinnipiac hockey to play Boston College 3 straight seasons. Starts next year at Three Rivers Classic in Pitt; at BC in 17-18 at QU in 18-19

In all seriousness, while it's not a football Power 5 scheduling announcement, it's about as good as it gets for BC hockey scheduling news. Boston College fans have been hoping for years to see the Bobcats on the schedule. Quinnipiac is undefeated so far this season at 15-0-2 and sits at #1 in the current Pairwise, and was in the national championship game in 2013 against Yale.
The series kicks off next year in the Three Rivers Classic holiday tournament in Pittsburgh, with the Bobcats heading to Conte the following year and a great road trip to Quinnpiac's beauty of a hockey arena in the 2018-2019 season. With Pennsylvania's increasing clout in the hockey world, it's good to be back in Pittsburgh for the possible recruiting benefits.
