Powered by a six goal outburst in the second period, Boston College cruised to a 7-0 beatdown of the UMass Amherst Minutemen.
The second period saw six goals in the first fifteen minutes. In the onslaught, Colin White picked up three points on a goal and two assists. Travis Jeke also picked up his first goal of the season.
After the goalscoring onslaught, a brouhaha developed in front of Thatcher Demko, resulting in a slew of penalties called. Ryan Fitzgerald was ejected from the game following the scrum, as were UMass captain Steven Iacobellis and defenseman Ben Gallacher.
The win marks the fifth straight for the Eagles. The streak dates back to the 6-0 win against the University of Wisconsin.
