The Northeastern Huskies are on an historic run, with just one loss since the calendar flipped to 2016. Despite a horrendous start to the season, NU is currently in a position to make the NCAA tournament. But in order to secure their spot, they need to at least win tonight, if not win the Hockey East title.
Standing in their way is the Boston College Eagles, who just barely survived a three-game set with Vermont last weekend in the quarterfinals. BC went 1-0-1 against the Huskies back in the fall, but that was against a much different-looking Northeastern team.
BC and NU will be facing off in the nightcap following the early game, which involves UMass-Lowell and Providence.
