Previews

Well, here we are. It looked once again like BC was going to be able to cruise past Vermont and easily advance to the Hockey East semifinals, but it was not to be. The Eagles choked away a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 last night, and suddenly there's some panic in Eagleville. For the third straight year, BC faces a do or die game 3 at home as they hope to advance to the Hockey East semifinals at TD Garden. In each of the past two years, they've come up empty in that situation.

Every other series ended in a sweep, so we know what the matchups at the Garden would be depending on what happens today. If BC wins, they will face red hot Northeastern, and Providence will face UMass Lowell. If BC loses, Northeastern will face Lowell and Vermont will face Providence.

Ian McCoshen is expected to return to the lineup tonight after serving a one game suspension for contact to the head in Friday night's game.
