BCI Radio: Eastern Bias Is LIVE On Wednesday To Talk Eagles Hockey

As the end of the road nears for football, we start the transition to the winter season by letting the hockey guys talk about the hot start to the Eagles winter season.

With football season winding down, the attention of many are already pointing their eyes at the frozen water of Conte Forum, where Boston College hockey begins its search for a sixth national championship. One month into the season, it's been eventful for the Eagles, having lost as many players as they have games (one apiece).

At 5-1, Boston College is a top five team in the nation, riding the crest of being one of the power schools of Hockey East. Along with UMass-Lowell and defending national champion Providence, the trio represent the potential next batch of teams ready to represent in Tampa this year in the postseason.

But it's still early, and there's going to be bumps along the way. One of those bumps came last week when Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco departed BC after just one month month as a member of the Eagles. It set off a firestorm of opinions on message board and social media, and it prompted possibly the most emotional response anyone's ever heard out of the Eagles and their head coach, Jerry York.

So with football heading towards Senior Day on Saturday against NC State, we take a step aside to let things marinade. We let the hockey guys step into the booth as Eastern Bias goes LIVE for the first time this year!

Some of the other media highlights from this week:

-The Boston College basketball season gets underway on Thursday night against the Division-II Bentley Falcons. Live audio will be available via BCEagles.TV on the Boston College website. It's the first look at the new-look Eagles in their second year under head coach Jim Christian.

-We mentioned how the hockey guys are taking over BCI Radio on Wednesday night, but don't forget to check out ACC Breakdown on Mark RogersTV as the season winds down. The biggest story is if Clemson can finish the regular season and move on through the rest of the league slate to head into the College Football Playoff.

-If that's not enough, USCHO Live! is hosted by one of its Hockey East beat writers, Jimmy Connelly. They have guests from the college hockey universe that are interviewed on a weekly basis. If you don't tune in live, you can listen to the show via the Spreaker app for iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile.

-Be sure to check in throughout the week as we provide more updates about media involving the Eagles!
