It has been an eventful two weeks since Boston College last played a home game at Conte Forum. In many ways, the home win against Providence feels like it was months ago, between the drama of the Beanpot (postponements and all), the crazy weather, and Friday's wild game at Merrimack.
Despite the win on Friday, neither of last week's games were nearly as convincing as BC had looked the last few times they played at home. They'll be looking to recapture that Conte form tonight when they start a two-game home set against the Vermont Catamounts.
Boston College Eagles
17-9-2 overall, 11th in PWR
vs. University of Vermont Catamounts
16-10-2, 19th in PWR
Game Date: Friday, February 13, 2015
Start Time: 7:30 PM
Venue: Conte Forum (cap. 7,884)
Ticket and arena info:
The last two home games at BC brought in massive crowds, with near-sellouts cramming in to see BC beat UConn and Providence. I'm not hearing the same kind of attendance buzz around these two games, which makes sense with games on consecutive nights. It'll be interesting to see what kind of crowd shows up, especially given the T, traffic, and weather problems. Tickets are available here.
How to watch:
Tonight's game is available for pay-per-view or via a monthly subscription through BCEagles.com. Link
How to listen:
You can listen to the game on 850 AM WEEI in greater Boston, or WZBC 90.3 FM, BC student radio, in the Boston College area. Alternatively, you can listen to WEEI's stream via BCEagles.com (LINK).
Last time vs. Vermont:
BC has not yet played Vermont this season. This time last year, BC went up to Vermont and swept a weekend series at the Gutt, 4-3 and 5-3, to lock up the regular season league crown.
Where to read up on the Catamounts:
The best (and maybe only) consistent coverage of UVM hockey outside of student media is available via the Burlington Free Press.
