NBC Sports Network To Televise Four Boston College Hockey Games In 2014-15

On Thursday, NBC Sports Network and Hockey East announced a deal to televise 25 games featuring Hockey East programs during the 2014-15 season. Seventeen games will be aired on the cable network, while the remaining eight will be shown on NBC Sports Live Extra, the network's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tables.

Good news for fans of the 8th best team in Hockey East! Twenty of the 25 Hockey East games picked up this year include the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, though this should come as no surprise given the school's individual media rights deal with NBCUniversal.

The network will air six exclusive Hockey East matchups NOT involving Notre Dame, with Boston College landing two of those televised games -- Boston College's home game vs. Boston University on November 7 (8 p.m., NBCSN) and the Eagles' December 5 road tilt at New Hampshire (8 p.m., NBCSN). In addition, the Eagles final regular season weekend series in South Bend will be televised on NBC Sports Network -- February 27 at 7:30 p.m. and the following evening at 6 p.m.

With yesterday's release of the 2014-15 ACC men's basketball schedule, the complete 2014-15 men's hockey schedule should drop any day now (even though most of the sched can already be pieced together).
