Final Thoughts and Predictions: EICHELMANIA I

BC is coming off one of its worst losses in recent memory. BU is riding the hype train, carrying into this game a 3-1 start, the league's best possession numbers, and also Eichel! EICHEL! EICHEL! What could possibly go wrong?

BC Roster Notes

BC mixed up the lines on Wednesday night at UConn. After scoring 0 goals, you have to imagine they might change things up again, but here's what we saw on Wednesday:

Projected Lines

Destry Straight - Chris Calnan - Adam Gilmour
Zach Sanford - Ryan Fitzgerald - Alex Tuch
Cam Spiro - Michael Sit - Brendan Silk
Quinn Smith - Austin Cangelosi - Danny Linell

Defensive Pairs

Michael Matheson - Scott Savage
Ian McCoshen - Ted Doherty
Noah Hanifin - Travis Jeke

In Goal

Thatcher Demko

Last Time Out: BU comes into this series after a weekend split with Providence, routing the Friars in Providence before suffering their first loss of the season at home.

Common Foes: None

Players to watch: Hmm.......

Blast from the Not-Too-Distant Past

BU scores three goals in less than one minute to turn an 0-1 deficit into a 3-1 lead in the third period of the Hockey East semifinals in 2009. Why do I post this? Because nothing that happens tonight can be worse.

The Pre-Game Watering Hole

I'm replacing this with post-game watering hole: Harry's in Allston, neutral ground between BC and BU hockey, will host tonight's first ever Eastern Bias Podcast Meetup. Join in.

Scoreboard Watching: Out-Of-Town Notes

Northeastern continues its hunt for win #1, playing a home-and-home with Lowell. Notre Dame finally plays on the road for the first time this year, traveling to Mariucci to take on the Gophers. And last but not least the most epic rivalry of all, UMass vs. AIC, is renewed tonight

Joe Gravellese:

BU 8 BC 1

Brian Favat:

4-3 BC. Sports are weird.

New "Dan Rubin" Guy:

BU 6-2. Eichel scores a hat trick. BU twitter explodes at The Kid since I think they actually respect us.

Grant Salzano:

BU 4, BC 0. Panic about the offense.

AJ Black:

5-2 BU.

BCI Prediction Standings

Nobody correctly predicted that BC would win game 1 and Denver would win game 2 last week, however New Guy did say game 2 would be a 2-1 Denver win, so on the strength of that, he won the game.
