The Eagles men's hockey team kicks off its 2013-14 campaign with an exhibition game against the St. Francis Xavier X-Men. St. Francis Xavier University is a Roman Catholic university from Nova Scotia. The X-Men participate in the CIS's Atlantic University Sport Conference along with Acadia, Cape Breton, Dalhousie, Memorial, Mount Allison, Moncton, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, St. Mary's and St. Thomas.
St. FX is coming off a 2-1 loss to that other school on the wrong end of the B-line. The Terriers scored the only even-strength goal of the game with 2:53 left in the third period.
There's no audio or video of today's exhibition game against the X-Men and the final result won't mean anything. However if you are heading to Conte Forum this afternoon to catch a glimpse of this year's squad, leave your thoughts on the game below.
Go Eagles!
