White led BC with 29 catches and 5 TDs last season. https://t.co/rqCuuiWZ3y
As you can see by the tweet, White was BC’s top wide receiver in the 2019 season with 29 catches for 460 yards (15.86 YPC) and five touchdowns. Those numbers aren’t too shabby for a team playing with an offense that was allergic to the Throw Game™, and it was clear that White was an excellent young talent in the BC receiving corps.
It only made sense for White to want to keep his options open this offseason, particularly with quarterback Anthony Brown looking to be on his way out on a transfer of his own. But once QB Phil Jurkovek signed on as a transfer from Notre Dame this month to join newly minted head coach Jeff Hafley, White obviously felt the growing buzz around the Heights for the new season and opted to #GetIn.
The remaining big update waiting to be resolved is what will happen with Michigan 5th-year transfer WR Tarik Black. 247 Sports still has Black as 100% coming to BC in their crystal ball, and if he does indeed end up at the Heights, BC will have quite an offense to work with next season.
Regardless, the Eagles know they have an extremely talented wide receiver coming back looking to have a huge year with a new offensive philosophy.
