With a marquee matchup coming up against Clemson comes a marquee billing.
The Clemson Tigers and Boston College Eagles will face each other in Clemson, S.C., colloquially known as Death Valley, on Sept. 23 at 3:30 PM, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday. The game will be nationally televised on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The channel will be announced six weeks prior to kickoff.
The game will be BC’s second consecutive week on national television. The Eagles will face Notre Dame Saturday afternoon, also at 3:30, on ESPN.
BC comes into this season on a ten game losing streak against the Tigers. The last time the Eagles defeated the Tigers was 2007, when the Eagles defeated the Tigers 20-17.
The two teams faced each other last season, when the Eagles were demolished at home 56-10 in front of a sellout crowd at Alumni Stadium. The Eagles also lost the last time they visited Clemson, 34-17 during the 2015 season.
