After a topsy turvy year on the Heights, the Boston College Football team finished the season victors.

The Eagles ended a nine year bowl win drought dating back to the 2007 season Monday afternoon, defeating the Maryland Terrapins 36-30 at the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit.

Patrick Towles threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns on the day, and Jon Hilliman had a breakout day, rushing for 79 yards and one touchdown.

The defensive line was named the game’s MVP’s, netting eight sacks on the day.

The win improves the Eagles’ record to 7-6 on the year. BC’s 36 points on the day were the second-most scored all season by the Eagles, only eclipsed by the BC effort against Wagner, scoring 42 points in a 42-10 victory in September.

Below is a recap of the game Monday afternoon in Tweet form. We hope you enjoy looking back.
