Coming off a last second 29-26 road win at Maryland, Vegas oddsmakers are showing even more love to the Eagles as a road team this week. The Wynn Las Vegas has installed Boston College as a 1.5-point road favorite this weekend in the regular season finale vs. Syracuse.
The opening line sets the Orange as a home underdog for the second consecutive week. Last week, the Orange were a 1-point home dog vs. Pittsburgh and lost ... by a single point. Vegas knows all.
You have to go back to 2010 to find a game where the Eagles were favored as the road team in conference play. BC was a 3.5-point and 3-point road favorite in back-to-back trips to Wake Forest and Duke, respectively, in November 2010, with the Eagles covering in both of those contests.
Though Boston College (7-4) has already clinched bowl eligibility and a winning season, there's still a ton on the line in the season finale. The Eagles will be trying to punch Andre Williams' ticket to New York, while the Orange (5-6) are still searching for that elusive sixth win to become the ACC's 11th bowl eligible team. What better way to kick-start the dormant BC-Syracuse rivalry than by having our own #44 run all over Syracuse on his way to New York's Downtown Athletic Club.
