Name: Seth Betancourt
Position: Offensive lineman
Number: #67
Year: Senior
Height: 6-foot-6
Weight: 300 lbs.
Hometown: Riverside, NJ
High School: St. Joseph's Prep (PA)
2013 Stats: Saw action in 10 games. Served as the backup left tackle to Florida grad transfer Matt Patchan.
2014 Projections: A relatively highly touted recruit out of high school, Betancourt has been patiently waiting in the wings for his turn to start on the Eagles O-Line. This may be that year; his final one with the program. Last season, the rising senior played understudy to Florida grad transfer Matt Patchan, who spent the year protecting Chase Rettig's blindside and punishing Andre Williams's would-be tacklers. Betancourt will likely start in 2014; the question becomes where. Does the staff start Betancourt at LT, helping to protect Tyler Murphy's blind side? Or will they shift Harris Williams or the second consecutive Florida OL call-up, Ian Silberman, at tackle? Either way, with the loss of both Ian White and Matt Patchan, you have to figure that Betancourt will start and be a critical part of the unit's success (or lack thereof) in 2014.
How'd He Get Here: A three-star offensive tackle out of Philadelphia, Betancourt committed to the Eagles over claimed offers from Connecticut, Duke, Michigan State, Minnesota, Rutgers, Temple, Virginia and West Virginia. Recruited by Mike Dawson.

Uniform History: As one would expect, the #67 jersey has been worn by a number of members of O-Line U, most recently Cincinnati's Tom Anevski from 2006-07. G John Regan (1953-54), G Thomas Meehan (1955-57), G Karl Krikorian (1959, 61), G Joseph DiGugliemo (1961), G Ralph Bello (1962), G Jim Duffy (1967), G Chris Markey (1967), C John Gonet (1980-81), G Mike Ryan (1982-83), T Ron Stone (1990-92), OL Ben Lockhart (1998) and T Rudy DiPietro (2002) have all worn the #67 on the Eagles' offensive line. DT Mark Murphy (New Castle, PA) served as captain of the team during his senior year, 1988.
