Name: Charlie Callinan
Position: Wide receiver
Number: #32
Year: RS Freshman
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 216 lbs.
Hometown: Westfield, NJ
High School: St. Peter's Prep
2013 Stats: Redshirted
2014 Projections: No position group has more unanswered questions heading into the season than the receiving corps. Who will replace Amidon's production? Will BC fans see the return of a healthy Bobby Swigert? How will the Josh Bordner wide receiver experiment go? Callinan is yet another unknown, but he's already shown promise. After redshirting last season, te Eagles' big target finished the spring game with a game-high seven receptions for 98 yards. Callinan may very well become one of the units top receivers this season.
How'd He Get Here: A three-star recruit out of St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, Callinan chose the Eagles over claimed offers from Connecticut and Rutgers. Other big names, including Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State showed interest in the 6-foot-4 receiver. Recruited by Bill McGovern.

Uniform History: Boston College LB and Seattle Seahawks draft pick Kevin Pierre-Louis began his career wearing the #32 jersey before switching to the #24 prior to the start of his sophomore season. Two former team captains from the 1970s, ILB Rich Scudellari (1974, 76-77) and LB Dave Ellison (1970-72), also wore the #32. More recently, Darnell Campbell and Andre Callender wore the jersey coming out of the Eagles backfield.
