Name: Frank Taylor
Position: Offensive lineman
Number: #50
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 286 lbs.
Hometown: Warrington, PA
High School: Archbishop Wood
2013 Stats: Saw action in two games -- at North Carolina on October 26 and in the bowl game against Arizona on December 31.
2014 Projections: Taylor was one of the more sought-after OL commits during the Spaz years with offers from nearly 10 BCS AQ programs. He's likely O-Line U's heir apparent at center, but won't get the start until his junior year (once Andy Gallik graduates).
How'd He Get Here: A 3 or 4-star (depending on who you ask) OG out of Pennsylvania, Taylor committed to the Eagles over claimed offers from Harvard, Illinois, Miami (Florida), Michigan State, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, UCF and West Virginia. Also received interest from Florida, Florida State, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Recruited by Ryan Day.

Uniform History: Only 16 former Eagles have worn the #50 jersey but of those 16, a disproportionate number of captains. Four #50s have served as team captain -- LB James McCool (1967-69), ILB Brian Clemente (1973-74), DE David Thomas (1982-84) and ILB Stephen Boyd (1991-94). Eugene J. "Gene" Goodreault, a former All-America football and member of the school's storied 1941 Sugar Bowl championship team, wore the #50 from 1938-40. The school retired Goodreault's jersey in 2001, the 60th anniversary of BC's "Team of Destiny." The number was most recently worn by LB Will Thompson (Jersey City, NJ) in 2011.
