Name: Drew Barksdale
Position: Wide receiver
Number: #37
Year: Sophomore
Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 193 lbs.
Hometown: Solon, OH
High School: Solon HS
2013 Stats: Appeared in one game as a true freshman -- at USC on September 14.
2014 Projections: Like the other receivers we've profiled so far, Barksdale is yet another wild card in the receiving corps. The Ohio native was a dual threat quarterback out of high school, but doesn't have the height for your prototypical college QB. Still, he's talented enough to likely earn some PT this season at a position of extreme need. Caught multiple passes in the spring game. May very well find himself towards the top of the Eagles' depth chart as the program looks to replace their top three receivers from last season; two of which were tight ends!
How'd He Get Here: A three star receiver out of high school, Drew Barksdale chose the Eagles over claimed offers from Air Force, Akron and Ohio. Recruited by Jim Bollman.

House of Cards. Definitely.
Uniform History: A pretty random uniform number as far as uniform numbers go. Two team captains have previously worn the #37 -- G David Couhig (1932-34) and OLB Alex MacLellan (1972-74). And who can forget kicker Ryan Ohligher, who wore the #37 his freshman year before switching to #20. Former walk-on turned scholarship player Hampton Hughes last wore the #37 during the 2011 season.

Quotable: Barksdale on Addazio after he replaced Spaz as HC:
"I am definitely surprised because I didn't see his name mentioned often as one of the top candidates for the job," Barksdale said. "However after looking into it, I feel that Coach Addazio is a great fit for BC, and I'm very excited to be there next year."
Obligatory Barksdale Quote From The Wire: "The game is the game. Always."
