Name: Tyler Rouse
Position: Running Back
Number: #35
Year: Sophomore
Height: 5-foot-9
Weight: 192 lbs.
Hometown: Baldwinsville, NY
High School: Charles W Baker HS
2013 Stats: Rouse played in 9 games as a true freshman, third on the depth chart behind Andre Williams and Myles Willis. The Baldwinsville, NY native rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Rushed for a career high 54 yards and a touchdown on six carries in the bowl loss to Arizona. Gained 68 yards rushing, including a 41-yard rush for a touchdown, in the 2014 spring game.
2014 Projections: Rouse, along with Myles Willis, will feature more prominently in the Eagles running attack in 2014. The sophomore duo of Rouse and Willis will be joined by true freshmen Marcus Outlow, Jonathan Hilliman and Sherm Alston in the Eagles backfield. It will be interesting to see how the workload will be distributed ... not only among the backs, but also BC's dual-threat quarterbacks Tyler Murphy and Darius Wade. Still, Rouse and Willis will get their chances to make an impact this season.
How'd He Get Here: A late addition to the 2013 recruiting class, the two-star RB out of high school chose the Eagles over Albany, his only other Division I offer. Also drew interest from Buffalo, Connecticut, Syracuse and Temple. Recruited by Ryan Day.

Uniform History: Rouse isn't the only running back from central New York to wear the #35 jersey. In 1971, Tom Bougus (Camillus, NY) rushed for over 1,000 yards during the Eagles' 9-2 campaign under Joe Yukica. More recently, running back Cedric Washington donned the #35 jersey for the Eagles in 1996, 1998-2000. Linebackers Robert Francois (2005-08) and Andre Lawrence (2011-12) most recently wore the number.

What Does Addazio Think Of Him: Addazio assessing the running backs coming out of spring ball: "The two tailbacks - Tyler Rouse and Myles Willis - had an outstanding spring. Those are two guys that love ball. They love to compete. They're all about excellence in every piece of their life and they were very, very productive this spring."
"Both he and Tyler Rouse had a great spring. They did a lot of good things. They're still young and will make mistakes, but they're progressing."
