Lukas Denis Signs with Boston College, Faxes Letter of Intent

A sensational local recruit will be heading to the Heights!

Local star Lukas Denis has signed his letter of intent, and sent it off to the Eagles. Denis, BC's 6th verbal commitment of the 2015 class and first defensive back commit. Denis's commitment signifies multiple positives for BC, including a local Massachusetts recruit, and yet another Everett recruit.

A 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back out of Everett High School, Denis runs a 4.5 40-yard dash and comes to BC over claimed offers from Holy Cross and UMass.

Denis had a phenomenal senior season at Everett where he was named to the All State team as a cornerback. His skills are certainly going to be needed at BC as the Eagles have lost multiple starting defensive backs including Ty-Meer Brown, Dominique Williams, and Manny Asprilla. There are some underclassmen that will be battling for the positions including John Johnson, Isaac Yiadom and other fellow signees.

  • Scout: 3 stars, 16th ranked cornerback in the East, top cornerback in Massachusetts, 59th ranked cornerback overall
  • 247Sports: Three stars, rated an 80 overall, 161th best cornerback,  9th best Massachusetts recruit
  • ESPN: Three stars, rated a 75 overall, 80th ranked cornerback, 149th regional, 2nd best Massachusetts recruit
