Michael Walker Signs with Boston College, Faxes Letter of Intent

An athlete from Florida has committed to the Eagles

Michael Walker has signed on the dotted line and is now an Eagle. Walker, BC's 13th verbal commitment of 2015, originally committed back in June. In the class he is one of three recruits considered to be an "athlete." Walker is one of six Florida recruits in the class of 2015.

A 5-foot-11, 178-pound defensive back out of Naples runs a 4.5 40-yard dash and comes to BC over claimed offers from Arizona, Arkansas State, FIU, South Florida, Holy Cross and Georgia Southern.

Boston College graduated numerous defensive backs in 2014, losing Ty-Meer Brown, Sean Sylvia, Dominique Williams and Manny Asprilla. There will be multiple spots on the two deep open for freshmen who step up during summer ball. If Walker sticks at the defensive back position he will give the Eagles a smaller but quick DB. If he comes in as a wide receiver Walker gives BC a weapon at the slot.

Here are Walker's highlights from both YouTube and HUDL:

Walker's rankings from the recruiting services are as follows:

  • Rivals: Three stars
  • Scout: not listed on Scout.com
  • 247Sports: Three stars, rated an 83 overall, 115th best athlete, 208th best Florida recruit
  • ESPN: Three stars, rated a 76 overall, 101st best athlete, 439th regional, 148 Florida recruit

Go Eagles!
