A big physical safety that patrols center field like an enforcer, Choate Rosemary Academy's (Wallingford, Connecticut) William Harris is a Boston College Eagle. Harris selects Boston College over claimed offers from Connecticut and Old Dominion.
Basically his entire highlight film is Harris just laying out wide receivers and running backs that get into his area. Have to like a safety that can lay the wood when they need to, and the 6-foot-1, 210 pounder has that tenacity. Also not afraid to sneak up to the line of scrimmage and support the run. He'll fit in well in Don Brown's defense.
Boston College lost three safeties this offseason with the graduations of Sean Sylvia, Dominique Williams, and Ty Meer Brown. That leaves Justin Simmons as the only safety with significant playing experience under his belt, and Kevin Bletzer a sophomore who made the two deep but didn't play much. Playing time is going to be wide open at this position and I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like William Harris is on the two deep to start the season and we see him getting some meaningful playing time as well.
Here are Harris' highlights via HUDL:
